Meet The Founder Of Litchfield Neurofeedback

David Pavlick, MS, LCSW

David Pavlick, founder of Litchfield Neurofeedback is a locally renowned neurofeedback therapist and psychotherapist in CT who specializes in problems of trauma, addictive and habitual behaviors, eating disorders, stress, anxiety and mood disorders, attention and learning difficulties, autism, and the effects of legal entanglement on individuals in recovery. He is notable for his work with children, teens and young adults.

After graduating from Hope College with a B.A in Philosophy, David moved to New York City and worked with runaway adolescents until he entered graduate school at Columbia University. His professional career included work at psychiatric hospitals, private & public clinics, residential treatment programs, school consultations, smoking cessation programs, eating disorder treatment & education and university instruction. David has been the founding director of six institutional start-up programs and was involved with a research study involving successful mitigation of Fronto-temporal Dementia with the use of EEG biofeedback. In the past fifteen years has championed the successful use of EEG Biofeedback in his clinical work.

David has written and presented on eating disorders, chronic mental illness, exercise compulsion, children’s issues, and play therapy. He was a founding and Executive Editor of the Contemporary Psychotherapy Review and has published in the, the International Journal of Therapeutic Communities and the Association for Play Therapy Bulletin. He has held clinical directorships at The Country Place, Hartford Hospital and Forman School. He has supervised interns from seven universities including Columbia, Fordham, Hunter, New York University, and University of Connecticut.

He is licensed in Connecticut and New York, is certified through the National Registry of Neurofeedback Providers, is a member of the International Society for Neurofeedback and Research and is recognized as a neurofeedback provider by Brainmaster Technologies and EEG Spectrum

David Pavlick resides in Connecticut with his wife of thirty-years. He is active in community boards, the local Boy Scout troop and the Rotary Club.
